Inspired by a passion for leadership in the digital space, George Weetman has focused his career on increasing customer engagement for companies in the outdoor and action-sports industry including Quiksilver, Roxy, DC Shoes, and Mountain Equipment Co-op. With a strong background delivering digital commerce consumer experiences, George brings strong leadership for both brand and digital teams through a relentless focus on balancing strategy with consumer relevant execution.
Today as the Vice President of Digital Commerce at Arc’teryx, George is responsible for leading global strategy for the brand’s digital commerce channels. His portfolio of responsibilities includes being a champion for direct-to-consumer brand initiatives, evolving the company’s online marketplace strategy, and delivering on the fundamentals for the company’s e-commerce business unit. George also serves on the Senior Leadership Team.
A Vancouver local, George received his BA, Geography in 1999 from the University of British Columbia before starting his own map publishing business. He also attended the Sales and Marketing Executive Program through the Sauder School of Business and completed training in web analytics.
Outside of the office, George enjoys adventures with his wife and two children. He has a keen passion for surfing, paddleboarding, backcountry skiing, and trail running. His best days start with a double espresso and a cold dip in salt water.
