Whether skis or splitboard, uptrack or descent - backcountry tours require freedom, weather protection, and breathable comfort. With the constant of changing conditions and the demands of uphill travel in mind, our team designed the Shashka Stretch kit for women and corresponding Procline series for men.

WHY WE MADE THIS

Ready for extended backcountry tours or quick laps off the side of the resort, the Shashka Stretch provides mobility, breathability, and protection. Using N70p GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ with 4-way stretch, the Shashka provides flexibility on uneven terrain, breathability on the skin track, wind protection on the ride down, and water resistance that helps handle shifting conditions.

Steep uptracks require breathability and the Shashka delivers. The Shashka Stretch jacket has articulated patterning offering unrestricted mobility, meaning when you move your jacket moves with you. Featured with pit zippers for easy venting, two hand pockets, an internal zippered security pocket, sleeve pocket with zip, internal stash or dump pockets and a single chest pocket. The powder skirt with stretch panel and gripper elastic keeps snow out. Topped off with a helmet-compatible StormHood™ to ensure protection without obscuring your vision.

Like all Arc’teryx ski and snowboard outerwear, a RECCO® reflector has been embedded for emergency situations to aid search and rescue.

The Shashka Stretch Jacket and Pant use PFC-free DWR to repel moisture from rain and snow. PFCs are a class of chemicals used to provide highly effective water repellency to textiles, but are known to persist in the environment. The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish repels moisture, while the PFC-free DWR finish adds water resistance without harmful chemicals.

The Shashka Stretch pant offers side vents for rapid ventilation, pockets are secure and accessible, and the TouringCuff™ makes buckle management easy. Complete with two hand pockets, one thigh pocket and rock solid Keprotec™ insteps that guard against edge abrasion. The 100D Cordura® quick adjust TouringCuff™ allows for easy buckle management

The corresponding men’s Procline Jacket and Pant offer the same level of protection, materials and features. Both Procline and Shashka Stretch jacket and pant are built with N70p GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ fabric with 4-way mechanical stretch to block wind, resist rain and snow, while remaining highly breathable for the ascent.
