There’s no piece of gear more critical to summiting peaks than footwear, and with that in mind, Arc’teryx has created the new Acrux LT GTX Boot.
WHY WE MADE THIS
The design of the stiff boot is focused on providing exceptional 3-season alpine climbing precision. The lightweight Acrux LT GTX boot slots in at just 650g. With a carefully tuned carbon midsole plate, the Acrux LT GTX mountaineering boot offers a difference in climbing performance by providing a confident grip over changing conditions.

The Acrux LT GTX boot is a welcome addition to the award-winning Acrux family, known for the Acrux AR mountaineering boot and the Acrux TR GTX hiking boot. The new Acrux LT GTX has less insulation than the Acrux AR making it ideal for spring and summer traverse missions.
The flexible SuperFabric® upper micro-plate technology delivers outstanding abrasion resistance for remarkably little weight. A gusseted tongue helps minimize debris collection while the compressed EVA midsole provides lasting cushion and support. The rubber toe cap has been 3D molded. Lace lock and extended lacing are both incorporated to help hold your feet in place, the chassis has 3mm full-length carbon plate with PU foam core to provide stiffness. The Acrux LT GTX boots are semi-automatic crampon compatible.
The Acrux LT GTX utilizes Vibram® Mont rubber outsole, with Vibram® Litebase, chosen for its high reliability on tough terrain at low temperatures. Vibram® Mont offers firm hardness value for crampon compatibility. To ensure the LT remains lightweight, the Vibram® Litebase was used to reduce sole thickness up to 50 percent and weight up to 30 percent while maintaining performance.
Together these components combine for one efficient mountaineering boot, the new three-season Acrux LT GTX boot.
