If imitation is the best form of flattery, then the Covert has had its fair share of praise since Arc’teryx introduced it in 1997. Launched in the 24 line, the Covert was a solution for everyday needs. A cozy fleece that was built with technical detailing and features that had never been seen before. Now two decades later, the icon has been revitalized and redesigned for a new, younger, contemporary user.

CHANGING ASPECTS WITHOUT CHANGING THE ESSENCE
For Fall 2019 the design focus was to underline the authenticity of the piece by delivering the same dependable, beautiful, long-lasting product that our consumers love but with some refinements. A new fabric has been introduced with improved pliability and loft. Fit and hemlines adjusted for ease of movement. The aesthetic given a streamlined look by minimizing the seam and reducing bulk in places like the zippers, bindings and chin guards. “It was challenging to refresh the visual language without losing its iconic value, so much is invested in it. From the start I loved the piece, and had so many of my own outdoor memories attached to mine. It was important to preserve that essence, while bringing newness to the fold. LIVING UP TO ITS NAME WITH A FEW NEW PERKS
Technical improvements have been carefully thought out on the Fall 2019 Covert. The new fabric, Alpenex II Heathered fleece, offers efficient thermal performance with an improved hand feel. Performance is aided with unique underarm gussets that allow better freedom of movement. Remaining true to the original, select models of the Covert will keep the laminated hand pockets with glued zippers. Available in a wide range of colours, the Fall 2019 Covert collection includes a hoody, cardigan, vest and sweater. Activity: Everyday life, around town
